“The Mystery of Unbelief”
By the end of Jesus' public ministry, after all of his teaching and countless public miracles, still, the vast majority of Jews did not believe in him. Such large-scale, catastrophic unbelief is quite puzzling, and demands an explanation. We'll seek to unpack the text to better understand the various factors involved, and to better understand one of God's most difficult attributes and actions: his sovereign, judicial hardening of hearts.
