As we close out the year…

As another year comes to end, we celebrate the grace of God that has been poured out on his church. Isn’t it amazing that God takes broken, imperfect people and somehow makes something beautiful? That his power is made perfect in weakness? God redeems and it’s such a joy to be a part of God’s renewed people!

As we reflect on this year, we remember that God has poured out his grace on this church in remarkable ways. We remember that missionaries were sent to gospel-starved places on the other side of the globe. We remember that refugees from war-torn locations were cared for as they settled into our community. We remember that a campus group was renewed and sent onto the university campus with the message of God’s grace. We remember that families experiencing homelessness were hosted and befriended in our church building.

And in addition to those things, we reflect on the “mundane” but equally powerful works of redemption that happened through each small group meeting, church service, and early morning conversation over coffee. Through it all, God was redeeming hearts with his grace.

We hope that you were able to experience it, and we hope that you see the value of having it continue and grow. As we close out the year, would you consider making an additional financial gift to help support ongoing opportunities to bring God’s grace to the world? Much of our ministry is supported by those who choose to make an extra gift at the end of the year. Often, those extra acts of generosity make the difference in being able to launch fresh initiatives of gospel grace. Your gift will most certainly bear fruit.

If you would like to give, just remember that any tax-deductible gifts for 2022 must be received or postmarked by December 31. You can give via cash or check at the tithe box in our lobby or can give online at summitview.com/give. And don’t forget, our final service of the calendar year will be on Christmas Eve at 4 p.m.

Thank you again for being a part of God’s gracious work!
