“Reconsidering the Woman at the Well”
Jesus overcame many hurdles in approaching the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. It's a great model for our own outreach to outsiders - those who are least like us. How willing are we to associate with the lowly of society? This woman is often portrayed in a very negative light, however, Jesus' words to her may have been more compassionate than condemning. The astonishing result was a whole town of marginalized people, coming to learn of the Messiah.
