“Eagerly Waiting”
Much of Christmas is a celebration of God keeping his promises. For centuries, he had promised that the Messiah would come to rescue us, and the birth of Jesus was the fulfillment of those promises. However, that's not the end. Jesus has promised to come again and complete the work he started. Christmas is a remembrance of promises fulfilled, and an anticipation of promises yet to be fulfilled.
