Discover Life According to Jesus

The 321 Course is designed to help you think about life, about the world, and about God. You don’t need to be a believer in God or Jesus, but you will see how the life of Jesus has changed everything. Through a series of short video-presentations led by Glen Scrivener, we will explore the impact that Jesus has had on our world, and the potential for him to change each one of us for the better.

Each Tuesday night in October from 7:00-8:15 p.m, we will meet at Summitview Church (1601 W Drake Rd) to walk through the 321 presentation and discuss it with others. Here’s the plan for each week:

October 7 | Introduction: Jesus
Who is Jesus? Even if we struggle to accept everything that seems to come along with the Jesus story, at the very least we must acknowledge that Jesus has radically transformed our world. Whether or not we recognize it, Jesus has influenced how we see meaning, morality, humanity and God. Surely, we must consider the life and claims of this enormously influential figure.
October 14 | God’s Three-ness
The Bible describes God with a mysterious concept that has become known as the Trinity. While challenging to comprehend, this picture of God truly matters. If God, at his very essence, is a loving union of three, then love is at the bottom of all reality. And that changes everything.
October 21 | The World’s Two-ness
We struggle because we have an expectation of how the world ought to be, but that expectation is very different from what the world actually is. How should we understand this divergence? Especially when it’s not only in the world out there, but it’s also very much within ourselves.
October 28 | Your One-ness
If we’re honest, we would probably describe a desire to have some kind of harmony and connection with God, but a simultaneous struggle to know how to achieve it. What did Jesus tell us? Is it truly possible to be one with God?
