“Leaving Home”
After Babylon conquered Jerusalem, the Israelites were taken into captivity and had to learn how to live in a foreign land while still maintaining their identity as God's people. The experience of the Israelites mirrors our own experience as Christians. We too are trying to maintain our identity as God's children living away from home and longing for restoration.
