We find life, joy and love in relationship with our Creator and Savior.
"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:5
The Great Commission is God's purpose for every believer.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
Jesus saved us to make us sons of the Father; he saved us to make us more like him.
"We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ." Colossians 1:28
Let’s believe God for big things.
"Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear." Isaiah 59:1
We believe that the local church is God's primary vehicle for building up believers and fulfilling the Great Commission.
"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to this eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord." Ephesians 3:10-11
There is no hierarchy in Jesus’ church, and Jesus gives leaders to guide us toward deeper love of what he’s accomplished for us.
"Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood." Acts 20:28
Relationships define the human existence. But we all have experienced brokenness and hurt in our relationships. Jesus makes it possible to love freely and build intimacy and community.
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35
Jesus came to serve us, and with that as our motivation, we can serve others.
"You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love." Galatians 5:13
Nurturing a "theology of place" will help us bring good and good news to where we live.
"But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare." – Jeremiah 29:7
