Bringing Relief and Love Amidst Disaster
The High Park Fire in the summer of 2012. The floods of September 2013. Northern Colorado has been at the center of two historic natural disasters in the last few years. It hasn’t been easy to endure these trials, but God has given you — the church in Fort Collins and Loveland — the strength to serve, to empathize and to build relationships with those who have been impacted by fire and flood.
You have helped in relief and recovery efforts by serving at the Red Cross evacuation and donation centers, donating gift cards to individuals and families affected by both of these disasters, and volunteering to help on various rebuilding and restoration projects.
And through all of this, God has been glorified in the midst of loss and tragedy. Everything you’ve done over the last few years to help the people impacted by these disasters has pointed to the unfailing love and grace of Jesus Christ. Thank you, church.
