Community is a big deal these days. People love to talk about being in and belonging to “authentic” communities. There are even community gardens.
But community for community’s sake is a dead end. Jesus is the author of what it means to be in communion. He died on a cross so that we could experience the ultimate sense of belonging and purpose.
At Summitview, we strive to be a vibrant, growing and maturing body of believers, being and making disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together.
Emphasis on the “together."
We foster community through our small groups (we call them Discipleship Teams). These teams are organized by season of life. By building transparent and genuine relationships, we meet regularly to encourage members of our teams to grow in our love for the gospel, for God, and for our neighbors.
It’s the best of both worlds: life-changing mission and life-affirming communities.
